A Research Forester in the Forest and Woodland Ecosystems Science Program (Rocky Mountain Research Station). His interests are in conducting research on the ecology and management of pinyon-juniper, encinal (oak), and semi-desert grassland ecosystems that will improve available information and contribute to management for their sustained and improved health and productivity. The impacts of silvicultural options and/or prescribed fire are of particular interest. One goal is to complete existing studies. New results should be helpful to federal, state, and private land managers.
